The presented 1949 All-American Amateur Baseball Association Championship Medallion was given to the members of the Pittsfield Electrics for winning the 1949 AAABA title. The Electrics defeated the Washington team 15-1 to win the title. The most famous member of the team was Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton who is best known as the first African American to play in the NBA for the New York Knicks.

Also present with the medallion is a 13 1/2" 1/10 14kt gold filled Speidel chain.

This medallion is quite rare and AAABA Hall of Fame does not even have an example from 1949.
