Long-since established with his cartoon work for Playboy and his stunning portrayals of pugilist Muhammad Ali, LeRoy Neiman eyed and captured up-and-coming backstop Johnny Bench in 1970. Framed to dimensions of 24-1/4 x 31-1/4", this hand-enhanced Neiman painting is, upon close inspection, a typical Neiman abstract. Stepping back, however, you'll behold a series of colors and shapes melding to definitely form the unmistakable image of Bench. The limited edition (3/150) piece is signed twice by Neiman (paint and pencil).
